Notes - Ultra rare player shirt believed to have been worn by a #7 for a match against Wales during the period 1972-73. This shirt is believed to have been worn in either the the 4-0 win at the County Ground in Swindon in February '72 or the 4-1 victory at Porthmadog in February '73. These minimal Umbro designs were worn by the Three Lions up until October 1974 when Admiral took over as shirt manufacturers. The senior side failed to qualify for the 1974 World Cup in West Germany in this design and by the time qualifying for the 1976 European Championships rolled around they were in their new Admiral shirts.
