Ultra rare player shirt believed to have been issued to Alatensiö for the Maspalomas Tournament Final against Sweden, played in Las Palmas Gran Canaria on 15th January 1988. The tournament was traditionally only contested by club teams but this year was a one off as 4 of Europes international sides made the trip the Canary Islands. The Finns had beaten Czechoslovakia 2-0 in their opening to reach the Final and faced a Swedish outfit who had thumped East Germany 4-1. A close game here saw Sweden run out 1-0 winners after a first half Jonas Thern goal. Alatensiö was an unused substitute for the match but won 19 caps in total for his country between 1986-89.
