The Boston Bruins enjoyed a stellar 1990-91 season, finishing first in the Adams Division and the Wales Conference with an impressive 44-24-12 record for 100 points. Under head coach Mike Milbury, the team featured a high-powered offense led by Cam Neely, who netted 51 goals, and captain Ray Bourque, who recorded a team-high 94 points and won the James Norris Memorial Trophy. Their dominant regular season paved the way for a deep playoff run where they captured the division title by defeating the Hartford Whalers and Montreal Canadiens before reaching the Prince of Wales Conference Finals.
