The 1990-91 Charlotte Hornets season was marked by notable growth and excitement, as the franchise improved by seven wins to finish with a 26-56 record. A major highlight was the city of Charlotte hosting the NBA All-Star Weekend, while on the court, rookie Kendall Gill made an immediate impact by earning NBA All-Rookie First Team honors. Led by the scoring of Johnny Newman and the playmaking of Muggsy Bogues, the team continued to enjoy incredible community support, leading the league in home attendance for the second time in three years.
