The 1991-92 campaign saw Atalanta, under the guidance of Bruno Giorgi, secure a solid, if unspectacular, 11th-place finish in Serie A. Leading the charge for La Dea were the joint top scorers, the Argentine international Claudio Caniggia and his Brazilian counterpart Careca Bianchezi, who each notched 8 crucial league goals. It was a stable year that marked their comfortable retention of top-flight status and remains a chapter of mid-table consolidation in their modern history.
