The 1991-92 campaign saw the legendary Giovanni Trapattoni return to the Juventus dugout as The Old Lady secured a strong 2nd-place finish in Serie A, right behind the undefeated AC Milan side, and reached the Coppa Italia Final. Leading the charge was the sensational Roberto Baggio, whose 18 league goals (22 overall) proved decisive in a season built on the hope of a domestic double that narrowly slipped away to Parma in the cup final. It was a pivotal year that marked the beginning of Trapattoni's second era and confirmed Baggio's status as the team's talisman.
