Notes

The 1991-92 campaign delivered Torino's most successful season of the decade, as Il Toro finished a brilliant 3rd in a fiercely competitive Serie A under the guidance of Emiliano Mondonico. The year's defining chapter, however, was a dramatic, heartbreaking run to the UEFA Cup Final, where they eliminated Real Madrid before losing to Ajax on away goals in a final immortalized by Riccardo Sordo's late, agonizing shot hitting the crossbar. Leading the charge was the elegant midfielder Enzo Scifo, whose 9 league goals proved vital alongside overall top scorer Walter Casagrande. This ambitious side, featuring stars like Gianluigi Lentini and Rafael Martín Vázquez, firmly re-established the club as a major force in Italian and European football and remains a pivotal, legendary moment in the club's folklore.
