Notes

The 1991-92 campaign delivered a frustrating season of transition for Everton as The Toffees finished a disappointing 12th in the First Division, their lowest position in over a decade, just before the launch of the Premier League. Leading the charge was the sensational new signing Peter Beardsley, whose 15 league goals (20 overall) anchored the attack in a year that also saw the emotional departure of club legend Graeme Sharp. It was a tumultuous but pivotal year that marked the end of an era in English football and remains a chapter of mixed fortunes for the Goodison Park faithful.. The 1992-93 campaign was a season of profound change and deep disappointment for Everton, marking the inaugural year of the new FA Premier League. The Toffees finished a frustrating 13th place, their lowest league finish in over a decade, which put significant pressure on legendary manager Howard Kendall during his second spell. Leading the line was striker Tony Cottee, whose 12 league goals anchored the attack alongside Peter Beardsley. Despite the struggles, the team delivered moments of brilliance, including a historic 3-0 away victory against eventual champions Manchester United, but the year remains a defining chapter of transition rather than triumph.
