Led by star center Brian Bradley, who recorded an impressive 86 points and 42 goals, the team demonstrated remarkable competitiveness for an expansion franchise by earning 53 points. Under head coach Terry Crisp and the leadership of founders Phil and Tony Esposito, the Lightning established a strong foundation in Tampa and finished with the best record among the early 1990s expansion teams.
