The 1993-94 campaign was a turbulent season of transition for Liverpool as The Reds finished a disappointing 8th in the Premier League, defined by the mid-season resignation of manager Graeme Souness and the subsequent appointment of club coach Roy Evans. Club legend Ian Rush still led the league scoring with 14 goals, but the true highlight was the electric emergence of teenage prodigy Robbie Fowler. It was a poignant year that also marked the final season for icons Bruce Grobbelaar and Ronnie Whelan, and the emotional demolition of the famous standing Spion Kop stand, ushering in a new era for the club.
