The 1994-95 campaign delivered a season of profound chaos and near-disaster for Atlético Madrid as Los Colchoneros stumbled to a precarious 14th-place finish in La Liga, narrowly avoiding the relegation play-off. The year was defined by instability, featuring a carousel of three different managers, but the team's attacking grit was anchored by joint-top scorers, the influential José Luis Caminero and fan-favorite Kiko, who each notched 9 league goals. This turbulent campaign, which also saw the arrival of future club legend Diego Simeone, ultimately stands as a tense, defining chapter in the club's fight for top-flight survival.
