Player - Acrobatic shot stopper Pegguy Arphexad #16
Features
Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been issued to Arphexad for the 1996-97 Coupe de France. The shot stopper joined Les Dogues this season on loan from Lens but made just 3 appearances in all competitions. He featured once in the Coupe de France playing in the 2nd round win over Lyon as Lille went on to lose out to Montpellier in the following match. He joined English outfit Leicester at the end of the season and helped the Foxes win the League Cup before enjoying spells with Liverpool, Coventry and Marseille. As with all teams in the Coupe de France Lille were required to wear adidas kits despite Reebok being their actual shirt manufacturers. This design was notably worn by Les Dogues in the 1st Round victory over Marseille in February when Jean-Marie Aubry played the full game between the sticks.
