Notes

The 1996 Green Bay Packers achieved a historic season, finishing with a 13-3 record and capturing their first Super Bowl title in 29 years by defeating the New England Patriots 35-21. Led by league MVP Brett Favre and a top-ranked defense featuring Reggie White, the Packers became the first team since 1972 to lead the NFL in both points scored and points allowed. The championship campaign was highlighted by a dominant postseason run and a Super Bowl record 99-yard kickoff return touchdown by MVP Desmond Howard. Founded in 1919 by Curly Lambeau and George Whitney Calhoun, the Green Bay Packers are the only community-owned, non-profit franchise in the NFL and hold a league-record 13 championships, including four Super Bowl titles.
