Despite the Premier League mandating the use of their own branded "Lextra" prints from the beginning of the 1997-98 season, in Leeds' 4-3 away win at Blackburn they elected to use their own print that they'd been using in the previous season. Blackburn wore Premier League Lextra in the game, and Leeds keeper Nigel Martyn was also wearing Premier League Lextra print despite none of his teammates doing so.
