Notes

The 1998-99 campaign delivered a crucial top-flight survival for Piacenza as the Biancorossi clung to their Serie A status, finishing 12th just three points above the relegation zone. Leading the charge was the emerging young forward Simone Inzaghi, whose 14 league goals proved decisive in a campaign built on a relentless relegation battle and secured by a vital late-season surge of seven wins in their final eleven matches. It was a defining year that marked the club's hard-fought continuation in the top tier and the breakout season of their future star striker.
