1999–2000 Football League season, Exeter City F.C. endured a difficult league campaign under manager Noel Blake, finishing 21st in Football League Division Three. The Grecians managed just 11 wins from 46 matches, scoring 46 goals while conceding 72, which left them narrowly escaping the bottom of the table. Despite their domestic struggles, the season was highlighted by a memorable cup run: they reached the FA Cup Third Round, holding Premier League giants Everton to a historic 0–0 draw at St James Park before falling 1–0 in the Goodison Park replay. Additionally, the club found cup success in the Football League Trophy, where they fought their way to the Southern Section Final before being eliminated by Bristol City.
