Notes

Home shirt worn as Guatemala narrowly missed out on qualification for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. The side battled through their group to reach the semi-final group stage of qualification. They finished level on points, head-to-head, and goals scored with Costa Rica leading to a one-off play-off final for qualification. Costa Rica came out victorious in a 5-2 victory at the Miami Orange Bowl
