The 2000-01 season was a landmark campaign for Giovane Elber, who spearheaded Bayern Munich to a historic double of the Bundesliga title and the UEFA Champions League. Despite an early injury setback, the Brazilian striker remained the club's top scorer with 21 goals across all competitions, including crucial strikes in both legs of the semi-final against Real Madrid. His clinical finishing and "Samba" flair were instrumental in the Bavarians' journey to redemption in Milan, where he helped secure their first European Cup in 25 years.
