Away shirt as worn when the side struggled to an 11th place finish in the Premier League under manager Bobby Robson. This was Bobby Robson’s first full season as Magpies manager and he managed to keep stability at the club, guiding them to a second successive 11th place finish, safe from relegation but the side was lacking the firepower to push for a European place with Carl Cort, Nobby Solano and Alan Shearer finishing as joint top scorers in all competitions with just 7 goals each.
