Notes

The 2000-01 campaign delivered a glorious and long-awaited Scudetto for AS Roma, their first Serie A title in 18 years. Under the tactical guidance of manager Fabio Capello, the Giallorossi were spearheaded by the colossal summer signing, legendary striker Gabriel Batistuta, whose 20 league goals proved decisive in the thrilling title race. The team, built on a formidable defense featuring the imposing Walter Samuel and the relentless attacking flair of wing-backs Cafu and Vincent Candela, was passionately led by Roman-born captain Francesco Totti. The triumph was dramatically secured on the final day of the season with a decisive 3-1 victory over Parma, sparking legendary celebrations that cemented this squad as one of Serie A's most iconic.
