Home shorts designed for Yugoslavia's Euro 2000 campaign where they qualified for the knockout stages by finishing 2nd in Group C. Although the campaign was short, the team played in a few memorable games. In their opening game they drew 3-3 with Slovenia before beating Norway 1-0. In the final group game they narrowly lost to Spain in cruel circumstances, after going 3-1 up, a 94th minute penalty followed by a 95th minute winner secured a victory for La Roja. In the quarter final they were comfortably beaten by Netherlands 6-1 with Patrick Kluivert getting a hat-trick.
