Bayern finished a disappointing 3rd in the league this season, following their Bundesliga and Champions League double the previous year. Sergio played 23 times in the league this season, finding the net 3 times - he would transfer to Brazilian club Bahia at the end of the campaign. The attacker had a successful spell playing for Roma in the late 90s, forming an effective strike partnership with Francesco Totti.
