Notes

The 2001-02 campaign saw Udinese navigate a season of transition, with the Bianconeri securing a mid-table 14th-place finish in Serie A under the guidance of Luciano Spalletti. Leading the charge was the dependable striker Roberto Muzzi, whose 14 league goals proved vital in a campaign built on developing emerging talents like David Pizarro and Giampiero Pinzi. The season is perhaps most memorable for the dramatic final day of the Scudetto race, as Udinese, despite losing to Juventus at the Stadio Friuli, played a direct role in the infamous 'May 5th' showdown that saw the Old Lady snatch the title from rivals Inter Milan.
