Notes

The 2001-02 campaign delivered a season of stunning, last-gasp survival for Siena as the Bianconeri clinched a crucial 12th-place finish in Serie B. The year was defined by a dramatic "miracle" turnaround, as the club, facing relegation and undergoing managerial turmoil that saw coach Giuseppe Papadopulo sacked and then recalled, rallied to secure an incredible 30 points in their final 13 matches, securing their second-tier status on the very last day. Leading the line with his characteristic power and flair was the much-loved cult hero Riccardo Zampagna, whose 7 league goals proved vital in a campaign built on sheer grit and an unforgettable fight for survival that remains a defining chapter in the club's modern history.. The 2002-03 campaign delivered historic glory for AC Siena as the Bianconeri clinched the Serie B title with a first-place finish, securing a celebrated, first-ever promotion to the top-flight Serie A in the club's history. Leading the charge was the clinical striker Simone Tiribocchi, whose 17 goals proved decisive in a campaign built on consistency and momentum. It was a standout year that marked a profound step up for the club and remains a defining, golden chapter for the Siena faithful.
