Notes

The 2002-03 campaign for Ternana, under the guidance of Mario Beretta, delivered a solid season for the Rossoverdi as they secured a respectable 7th-place finish in Serie B following their reinstatement to the division. Leading the charge was the prolific veteran striker Massimo Borgobello, whose 18 crucial league goals cemented his place as the team's top marksman. The side also enjoyed a memorable run in the Coppa Italia, which included an early elimination of Napoli, before being knocked out in the second round by Piacenza. With a determined squad featuring key players like Mario Frick and Roberto D'Aversa, it was a positive year that firmly established their presence in the second tier of Italian football.
