The 2002 Chicago Bears season was highlighted by the continued excellence of linebacker Brian Urlacher, who earned First-team All-Pro honors and a Pro Bowl selection alongside teammates Marty Booker and Olin Kreutz. Despite a challenging 4-12 record while playing home games at the University of Illinois during the renovation of Soldier Field, the team started strong with back-to-back victories and saw wide receiver Marty Booker achieve a standout 1,189-yard receiving season. A first-round pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, Brian Urlacher was a legendary linebacker for the Chicago Bears who earned eight Pro Bowl selections, the 2005 Defensive Player of the Year award, and a 2018 induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
