Notes

The 2002 New York Giants enjoyed a resurgent season, finishing with a 10-6 record and securing a playoff berth for the second time in three years. Led by head coach Jim Fassel, the team finished the regular season on a high note with a four-game winning streak, highlighted by an overtime victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. The season featured standout performances from Pro Bowlers Michael Strahan and rookie tight end Jeremy Shockey, as well as a high-powered offense led by Kerry Collins, Tiki Barber, and Amani Toomer. The 14th overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft and the inaugural Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year, Jeremy Shockey was a four-time Pro Bowl tight end who won Super Bowl championships with both the New York Giants and New Orleans Saints.
