The youngster had come up the ranks with the Paars-wit and made his senior debut this season when he came on as a late sub in the big 5-1 win over Westerlo in September. It would he his only appearance as Anderlecht went on to lift the title for the first time since 2000-01. This design rolled over to the following season when he was sent out on loan to Dutch side Waalwijk before making the move permanent. The 9 time Belgian international went on to enjoy spells with AZ Alkmaar, PAOK and Cercle Brugge.
