Notes

The 2003 Atlanta Falcons season was a year of resilience, highlighted by the mid-season return of star quarterback Michael Vick from a broken leg to lead the team to a strong 3-1 finish. Despite a 5-11 record and a coaching transition to interim head coach Wade Phillips, the team showcased elite individual talent with tight end Alge Crumpler and linebacker Keith Brooking earning Pro Bowl honors. The season also featured a high-profile offseason acquisition in wide receiver Peerless Price and memorable victories over the Cowboys, Giants, and Buccaneers. The 2004 Atlanta Falcons enjoyed a resurgent season under first-year head coach Jim Mora, finishing with an 11-5 record and capturing the NFC South division title. Led by the dynamic Michael Vick and a dominant rushing attack that ranked first in the NFL, the team showcased its power with a 47-17 playoff victory over the St. Louis Rams to reach the NFC Championship game. The season was further highlighted by the Pro Bowl selections of stars like Alge Crumpler, Patrick Kerney, and Keith Brooking, while running back Warrick Dunn was honored as the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year. A first-round pick and five-time Pro Bowl linebacker, Keith Brooking was a defensive cornerstone for the Atlanta Falcons who ranks third in franchise history for career tackles and led the team to an appearance in Super Bowl XXXIII.
