The 2003-04 campaign delivered a devastating end to an era for Bradford City as The Bantams finished a crushing 23rd in the First Division, resulting in relegation to the newly formed Football League One. The season was defined by severe financial constraints, a turbulent managerial merry-go-round from Nicky Law to Bryan Robson, and a largely inconsistent squad. Despite the turmoil, the attack was jointly led by new signing Michael Branch and returning club legend Dean Windass, who each notched 6 league goals. This difficult centenary year marked the end of the club's three-season stay in the second tier and remains a painful but defining chapter in their modern history.
