Notes

The 2003-04 campaign saw Les Sang et Or secure a solid mid-table finish, ending up 8th in Ligue 1 under manager Joël Müller. Leading the charge for Lens was the versatile forward Daniel Moreira, whose 8 crucial goals helped anchor the attack in a season of domestic inconsistency. The campaign was highlighted by a run to the UEFA Cup Second Round and the debut of future star Benoît Assou-Ekotto, marking a transitional chapter of development for the club.
