Notes

The 2004-05 campaign delivered a season of spectacular personal triumph but team heartbreak for Bristol City in League One. Under the guidance of player-manager Brian Tinnion, The Robins finished an agonizing 7th, missing the play-offs by a single point despite their pre-season promotion favourite status. The year was defined by the phenomenal breakout season of the 19-year-old striker Leroy Lita, whose explosive 24 league goals (29 in all competitions) marked him as a future star and earned him a club-record transfer to Reading that summer, ending a memorable, high-scoring campaign.
