Notes

The 2004-05 campaign delivered a vital year of consolidation for Cesena as the Cavallucci Marini secured a crucial 15th-place finish in a notoriously chaotic Serie B season. Having just earned promotion through the Serie C1 play-offs, the team successfully navigated a famously turbulent league campaign rife with scandal and dramatic final-day twists involving other clubs. Leading the charge was the prolific forward Simone Cavalli, whose 12 goals proved decisive in securing the club's hard-fought safety and solidifying their place back in the second tier of Italian football. This season, despite the off-field drama surrounding the division, marked a successful and vital chapter in the club's modern history.
