Notes

The 2004-05 campaign delivered a heartbreaking but dramatic return to the top flight for Norwich City as The Canaries, despite a valiant late surge, were ultimately relegated back to the Championship, finishing 19th. Leading the charge for goals were midfielder Damien Francis and new, high-profile January signing Dean Ashton, who both notched 7 decisive league goals, including Ashton's vital strikes in memorable home wins like the 2-0 upset against Manchester United. However, the season remains infamous for the club's failure to record a single competitive away victory and ended with a crushing 6-0 defeat on 'Survival Sunday' at Fulham, a bitter finale to their Premier League stay.
