Notes

The 2004 Detroit Tigers season marked a significant turnaround for the franchise, as the team finished with a 72-90 record, a remarkable 29-game improvement over the previous year. Under the leadership of manager Alan Trammell and the high-profile signing of future Hall of Fame catcher Iván Rodríguez, the Tigers showcased a much-improved offense that set a major league record with eleven players hitting at least ten home runs. The season also featured the breakout performance of Carlos Guillén, who batted .318, and provided a glimpse into the future with the drafting of ace Justin Verlander. Through these collective efforts, the club revitalized its fanbase and established a competitive foundation at Comerica Park.
