Notes

The 2004-05 Orlando Magic season was a year of significant revitalization and growth, marked by a 15-win improvement to finish with a 36-46 record. The franchise ushered in a promising new era by selecting future superstar Dwight Howard with the first overall pick, while newly acquired All-Star Steve Francis led the team in scoring and playmaking. A major highlight was the resilient play of veteran Grant Hill, who earned an All-Star selection after finally returning to health, helping the Magic remain competitive throughout a season that saw both Howard and Jameer Nelson earn All-Rookie honors. The 2005-06 Orlando Magic season was highlighted by the continued ascent of young star Dwight Howard, who averaged a double-double with 15.8 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. Under the return of head coach Brian Hill, the team finished with a 36-46 record, showing great resilience by winning eight of their final ten games to end the season on a high note. The campaign also featured strong contributions from Jameer Nelson and Hedo Turkoglu, setting a competitive foundation for the franchise's successful playoff runs in the years that followed. A 2009 NBA All-Star and the 2004 National College Player of the Year, Jameer Nelson was a standout point guard who spent 10 seasons as a cornerstone for the Orlando Magic, leading them to the 2009 NBA Finals.
