Notes

The 2004-05 Phoenix Suns experienced a historic resurgence, finishing with a league-best 62-20 record and orchestrating one of the greatest single-season turnarounds in NBA history. Led by league MVP Steve Nash and the high-flying duo of Amar'e Stoudemire and Shawn Marion, the Suns revolutionized the game with their "Seven Seconds or Less" offensive style under Coach of the Year Mike D'Antoni. The team captivated fans with their league-leading scoring and electric pace, ultimately reaching the Western Conference Finals in a truly memorable campaign. The Phoenix Suns enjoyed a thrilling and resilient 2005-06 season, finishing with an impressive 54-28 record to capture the Pacific Division title. Despite the loss of Amar'e Stoudemire to injury for most of the year, the team’s high-octane "Seven Seconds or Less" offense remained the best in the league. The campaign was highlighted by Steve Nash winning his second consecutive MVP award and Boris Diaw being named Most Improved Player. Their postseason was marked by a historic comeback from a 3-1 deficit against the Los Angeles Lakers and a hard-fought victory over the Los Angeles Clippers, ultimately leading the franchise to the Western Conference Finals. A two-time NBA MVP and Hall of Fame point guard, Steve Nash was a legendary playmaker for the Phoenix Suns who earned eight All-Star selections and led the league in assists five times.
