Notes

The 2004 New York Giants season marked a significant new era with the arrival of head coach Tom Coughlin and the acquisition of future franchise cornerstone Eli Manning. The team started the year with a strong 5-2 record under veteran Kurt Warner, including notable road wins against the Cowboys and Packers. While the season ended with a 6-10 record, it was highlighted by a career-best 1,518-yard rushing season from Tiki Barber and a thrilling season-finale victory over Dallas that provided a glimpse into the team's promising future. The 14th overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft and the inaugural Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year, Jeremy Shockey was a four-time Pro Bowl tight end who won Super Bowl championships with both the New York Giants and New Orleans Saints.
