The 2006-07 campaign was a season of consolidation for Motherwell as The Steelmen secured a 10th-place finish in the Scottish Premier League under manager Maurice Malpas. Leading the charge was the prolific Australian striker Scott McDonald, whose 15 league goals proved vital for the club.
