Notes

The 2005 Cincinnati Bengals enjoyed a historic breakthrough season, finishing with an 11-5 record and clinching their first AFC North division title and playoff berth since 1990. Led by head coach Marvin Lewis and a high-powered offense featuring Pro Bowlers Carson Palmer, Chad Johnson, and Willie Anderson, the team led the NFL in touchdown passes and takeaways. Highlights included a dominant 41-17 victory over the Detroit Lions to secure the division and a season-high five players selected for the Pro Bowl. The 2006 Cincinnati Bengals finished with a competitive 8-8 record, highlighted by a strong 3-0 start and a top-ten scoring offense. The season was anchored by the resilient return of quarterback Carson Palmer, who threw for 4,035 yards and 28 touchdowns, while wide receivers Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh both surpassed 1,000 receiving yards. A six-time Pro Bowler and the franchise's all-time leading receiver, Chad Johnson was a dominant and charismatic wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals who led the NFL in receiving yards in 2006.
