Notes

The 2005-06 campaign was a season of spectacular highs and devastating lows for Lazio. Under manager Delio Rossi, the Biancocelesti originally secured a brilliant 6th-place finish in Serie A, which would have earned them a coveted UEFA Cup spot, led by the prolific striker Tommaso Rocchi, who netted a career-best 16 league goals. However, the season's achievement was tragically overshadowed by the Calciopoli scandal, which resulted in a crushing 30-point deduction, retrospectively dropping the club to a nervous 16th place just above the relegation zone, and annulling their hard-earned European qualification. This turbulent year remains a painful but unforgettable chapter, defined by both on-pitch ambition and off-pitch turmoil.
