Notes

Away shirt as worn when Alex McLeish managed the Gers to a third-place finish in the Scottish Premier League, with the striker pairing of Kris Boyd and Peter Løvenkrands returning impressive tallies of 17 and 14 league goals respectively. In the Champions League, the side held their own against seasoned performers Porto and Inter Milan to make it out of a dangerous group stage, only to fall to eventual semi-finalists Villarreal on away goals in a hard-fought Round of 16 clash
