Notes

The 2005-06 campaign was the historic '106' season for Reading, as The Royals, under manager Steve Coppell, absolutely dominated the Championship to secure the title and promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their history. They set an all-time professional league record with an astonishing 106 points, built on a phenomenal record of 31 wins and just two defeats. Spearheading this relentless attack were the prolific strike partnership of Dave Kitson and new signing Kevin Doyle, who both notched 18 goals in a season of unprecedented success that remains the defining chapter of the club's modern history.
