Notes

The 2005 Seattle Seahawks enjoyed the most successful season in franchise history to that point, finishing with a 13-3 record and securing the NFC's top seed. Led by league MVP Shaun Alexander, who set a then-record with 28 touchdowns, and Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, the team boasted the NFL's highest-scoring offense. The Seahawks remained undefeated at home and captured their first-ever conference championship with a 34-14 victory over the Carolina Panthers, earning their first trip to the Super Bowl. The 2006 Seattle Seahawks enjoyed a successful campaign, clinching their third consecutive NFC West division title with a 9-7 record. Led by head coach Mike Holmgren, the team demonstrated great resilience by overcoming injuries to key stars like Matt Hasselbeck and Shaun Alexander to remain atop their division for the entire second half of the season. The year was highlighted by a thrilling 21-20 wild-card playoff victory over the Dallas Cowboys and standout Pro Bowl performances from Julian Peterson, Lofa Tatupu, Mack Strong, and Walter Jones. The 11th overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft, Marcus Trufant was a Pro Bowl cornerback who played 10 seasons for the Seattle Seahawks and recorded 21 career interceptions as a cornerstone of the franchise's defense.
