Notes

The 2005-06 campaign was a solid year of mid-table consolidation for Piacenza, with the Biancorossi finishing 12th in Serie B. Spearheading the attack was the young striker Daniele Cacia, whose career-best 18 goals proved decisive in a campaign built on consistency under manager Giuseppe Iachini. The season featured a memorable 2-1 derby victory against rivals Cremonese at the Stadio Leonardo Garilli and marked Cacia's emergence as a formidable goalscorer, a defining chapter in the club's modern history.. The 2006-07 campaign was a season of soaring ambition and agonizing near-miss for Piacenza, as the Biancorossi surged to a commendable 4th-place finish in Serie B. Spearheading the charge was the prolific centre-forward Daniele Cacia, whose 14 goals anchored a campaign built on attacking threat and a strong push for a return to the top flight. Despite finishing just outside the automatic promotion places, the team delivered moments of brilliance, but a final-day draw saw them miss out on the play-offs against a highly competitive field that included Juventus, Napoli, and Genoa. It remains a memorable chapter for the club, showcasing the talents of emerging stars like Antonio Nocerino and cementing their status as strong contenders in the Italian second tier.
