Notes

The 2006-07 campaign was a season of hard-fought consolidation and transition for 1. FC Kaiserslautern as Die roten Teufel fought for an immediate return to the elite after their relegation. Despite a resolute effort, they finished a respectable 6th in the 2. Bundesliga, ultimately falling seven points short of the coveted promotion places. Leading the charge were the joint-top scorers, the creative force Tamás Hajnal and forward Noureddine Daham, who each netted 7 crucial goals. Though the season saw a mid-campaign managerial change and ended short of the ultimate goal, it marked a vital chapter in the club's battle to regain their footing and restore the historic legacy of Die roten Teufel.
