Notes
The 2006-07 campaign delivered a season of brilliance for Werder Bremen as Die Werderaner, under the guidance of Thomas Schaaf, clinched a strong 3rd-place finish in the Bundesliga, securing a coveted spot in the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds. The attack was spear-headed by the electric partnership of Miroslav Klose and the brilliant young Brazilian Diego, who both netted 13 crucial league goals. Beyond the league success, the team won its first-ever DFL-Ligapokal and enjoyed a memorable run to the UEFA Cup semi-finals. It was a golden year for the club, cementing their place among the German elite and showcasing a thrilling, high-scoring attack.
