The 2006 Houston Texans season, the first under head coach Gary Kubiak, showed significant growth as the team improved to a 6-10 record, a four-game increase from the previous year. The season was highlighted by the sensational debut of DeMeco Ryans, who earned AP Defensive Rookie of the Year honors, and a historic Week 16 victory over the eventual Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts. A three-time Pro Bowler and two-time Second-team All-Pro, Eric Moulds was a premier wide receiver who recorded nearly 10,000 career receiving yards and spent one season with the Houston Texans as a veteran leader.
