The 2007-08 campaign for Huddersfield was a turbulent, yet memorable season, ultimately securing a 10th-place finish in League One for The Terriers. Though the league saw a mid-season slump that led to the sacking of manager Andy Ritchie in April, the team rallied to end the year with four straight wins, including a triumphant 1-0 victory over local rivals Leeds United at the Galpharm. The highlight of the season was a thrilling FA Cup run to the Fifth Round, which saw The Terriers knock out Premier League side Birmingham City before facing holders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Club legend Andy Booth led the league scoring charts with 9 goals in a campaign that, despite the inconsistency, delivered defining cup magic and a promising final flourish.
