Away shirt as worn by The Steelmen as they stormed to a third-place finish in the Scottish Premier League, surprising many as they secured a return to European football for the first time in 13 years. Motherwell captain and fan favourite Phil O'Donnell was in his second spell at the club when tragically the Scottish midfielder suffered cardiac arrest during a game against Dundee United. The hometown hero passed away later that day, after unsuccessful treatment on the pitch and in hospital, evoking nationwide sorrow and a host of tributes from across world football. The #10 was given to O'Donnell's nephew David Clarkson and since his departure from the club it hasn't been issued to any subsequent player
